Dance has always been a part of Miss Anna’s life, but it was at age 11 that she fell in love with ballet and persuaded her parents to enroll her in the professional ballet program at Victoria Ballet Academy. While attending this program, Miss Anna was given the opportunity to assist and teach creative movement and beginner ballet classes under the guidance of her ballet teacher. This experience influenced her to further pursue her teaching career. Miss Anna graduated from the Teacher Training Program at Canada’s National Ballet School, through which she achieved Registered Teacher Status with Royal Academy of Dance. As well, she graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Education. Miss Anna continues to seek out professional development opportunities by completing Teacher Certification in C-I Training™ (conditioning-with-imagery), and Vaganova Teacher Training in New York with the Open World Dance Foundation. Miss Anna believes that ballet is a great way to train and condition the body for all dance styles and she looks forward to continuing to share her passion for ballet with her students.
